In or around Dubai in early May? Check out the Gulf Photo Plus 2008 event, which offers a range of talks, panel discussions and workshops with photographers like Joe McNally and David Hobby. Probably the most interesting session for advanced amateurs would be the three day mock commercial shoot organized by Chase Jarvis and team. Great concept.
